Kindly note that during the Government meeting of 7 May 2020 the project for extending the deadline for submission of the Unique Tax Return as well as granting reductions for payment of tax liabilities included in the Unique Tax Return was approved.
According to this project, the new deadline for submission of the Unique Tax Return and for payment of tax liabilities is postponed until 30 June 2020, the deadline initially set was 25 May 2020. The project also provides reductions of up to 10% for payment of tax liabilities until 30 June 2020:
- Reduction of 5% from the value of income tax and social contributions due for the income derived in 2019 if the payment of tax liabilities is performed by 30 June 2020, inclusive;
- Reduction of 5% from the value of income tax and social contributions due for the income derived in 2019 for electronically submission of the Unique Tax Return by 30 June 2020, inclusive.
This reduction is granted if the condition for granting the reduction of 5% for payment of tax liabilities by 30 June 2020, inclusive, is met. The project for postponement of the deadlines and the bonus system was approved in Gouvernment meeting and it is expected to be published in the Official Journal of Romania and also the Unique Tax Return should be updated with fields for the reductions.
